I'm talking to a guy about buying a mid 80's 686 and I need a little help on just what this gun is worth. It has the factory hogue grips and a four inch barrel and looks great. I see a lot of inflated prices at gunshows but what is it really worth.
I have just seen pictures of it. It's actually a pretty good drive just to look at it and I was thinking about the same as you. He wants a little more than that for it.
4-5 and they worth every penny.......
btw neck' all 686 are stainless. 586 is blue version.
they good for 60k + rounds + meaning mine aint worn out yet and its had that many through it. good luck..
Damn They put locks on the freaking 686's also...Those Morons..How did S&W get away with taking em back off...or did they just do it another way...I laugh my but off whenever you see a gun review on TV and they emphasize the freaking gun lock
I hate the stupid lawyer locks...
Thanks for the correction G1D...I got a 686 and just figured it came blued as well
My cuz has one like you are looking at. Good guns. Accurate. Didn't they replace the model 66? Its my understanding it did. I know the 66 is a great gun and is tough to beat!
