Just wondering if anyone has this gun and done any modding to it. I took a dremel last night with a cutting blade and took a few millimeters off each end of the outter trigger spring and then I polished the trigger sear and the barrel.

Here's what it looks like now. I just used Mother's Mag polish and worked it over a few times. It's not mirrored but it's close. Thought about polishing the whole slide but not too keen on the idea of an all out shiney gun. Any of you have any pictures of something you've done to your gun.

I did the same polishing on my .40 sigma, not worth the effort honestly. Polishing the inside part of the sear would make the most difference, thats where the grittiness you feel in the trigger comes from. I just havent done that with mine yet, i wanted to see what difference the other polishing made if any.

I polished the barrel and the inside of the slide where the bullet guard makes contact. If you look at the top of your gun you can see where it rubs probably. Well thats what I polished. To be honest I polished the sear and did a little light sanding with sandpaper to remove the ridges then polished again. The trigger is smoother. However the dremel on the spring helped out the most. I tried cutting the spring with wire cutters "not a good idea cause it's hard to get the pliers into where i cut" after that i put the gun together and there was a catch in the trigger pull from the bent spring catching on something. So then i got my dremel and precisely cut the spring made a HUGE difference. No catch and easier to pull and smoother. My wife could tell the most difference cause she had trouble pulling the trigger the most. Seeing as how I'm 6'2 200 lbs and she's 5'2 115 lbs I didn't notice it as much as she did but it does feel good and she said it's totally different.

If you remove the pigtail spring at the base of the sear and leave it out you will notice a big drop in trigger pull effort. I have read about leaving the inner of the 2 springs that are together makes a big difference too but i havent tried that with mine. Ive been doing one thing at a time to see what makes the biggest difference.

Yeah slng I've read every review you can. I haven't even fired the gun yet haha so I"m hesitant to do too many mod's on it. I'm kinda worried about cutting the spring as I don't know how to order another one. And I left the pigtail spring off once and dry fired it and I truthfully couldn't tell much of a difference cause I've dry fired it so many damn times. So I put it back on which was a mfer. That little thing is elusive.

Removing the pigtail did lessen the effort on mine. All im really concerned with one mine now is getting rid of the grittiness, which is worse on some than others. Ive just got to come up with a way to polish the inside surface which will definetly be a pita.

It's not that hard. I watch a video on youtube on how to take it apart and then i polished the sear and the housing for the sear. Took me about 30 minutes because i'm excessive compulsive. But it seems alot smoother to me.

That one is easy. Dry fire. A lot. :lol3:
