Anyone know when the MHP carried a Sigma? And maybe why they got rid of them?

News to me. I'd be very surprised if they ever did. I've only heard of a couple LE organizations that used them...no one anywhere near MS.

Found one today that had a MHP serial number, and stamps on either side of the slide.

I think they got 1 when they retired but I'm not sure

They started phasing them in around 96-97 to replace the 686's and then the 4046's. They were not that well liked by most Troopers. They were sold off when they switched to Glock around 99 I think.

I know they started carrying the .357SIG round. But I don't know what brand weapon they have.

MHP is now issued Glock 31, a full size 357 sig. Before that it was a model 22, 40 s&w.
