I have no problem with them for those on a budget....generally speaking, I think you get what you pay for. I understand the "need" for a less expensive option.

If it would meet my 500 rd goes bang test with out a hang up...I'd carry one

would it be my 1st choice no....

cheap truck gun with 11+ lb. trigger. tool marks out the ying yang and thin plastic, but for around the $300 mark what would you expect. Another thread somewhere asked about the sigma. IMO its a bad example of S&W quality. "cha-ching" .02

shoots fair and a good beginner gun though.

Hey Dick Cox,

Ask yourself, Would you buy "cheap" health insurance, would you buy a cheap fire extinguisher...cheap life preserver to put on your wife and child?...Some things you can get by on the cheap....ex Corn Flakes....mull it over and I think you'll come to the right conclusion....

enough :bull: from me

Just trying to stay ahead of Rbelote in the daily post count....since I'm working day and night on M&G he's been catching up!....Good Fella that Rbelote....

Ok had a buddy who had one they work I can say that eat anything. The trigger can be fixed by simply removing one of the springs tenhole can verify that so that problem is fixed for 300 it is worth it I will go bang and shoots pretty good to

And this is the gun glock sued them over.

Sigma .40cal on top -- S&W M&P9 on bottom:

Sigma on Right -- S&W M&P9 on left:

Yes, I am of the thought that Glock did sue S&W over the Signma ('neck I think I told you it was the M&P9 - sorry!!) -- takes down exactly like the Glock -- latches on both sides --

Actually like the Sigma -- it will eat anything you put in it -- not nearly as picky as my Glock or Beretta. Only thing I do not like is the trigger pull -- has to be 50lbs!!

OK Dick Cox...so what price are you looking at on the sigma?...I'm gonna assume 9mm....

I was holding captains M&P last night and I swear it felt like my Glock 26....we were kidding around about how many concealed weapons we had on us...Only had one!...I digress

The grips look fat on the M&P but it did not feel that way.... :feedback:

I have never handled one but a friend of mine bought one new shot one box out of it sold it the next day he hates them with a passion. Not trying to talk you out of them because like I said I don't know anything about them. But I trust this guy with my life and if he doesn't like it theirs something wrong with it

I shot one when they first came out, a couple cops I knew in the Delta bought them because they were cheaper than a Glock. I didn't like it, felt too much like a Glock and I don't like them either.

Alright I went ahead and bought it and it is not that bad. The day I got it I went home and shot about 100 rounds thu it(no hangups and no misfires) went inside took it apart done a home-made trigger job(using a spring from a ball point pen) It cut the trigger pull in half and went back out the next day and put about 100 more thu it(without a hangup or misfire). For 300 bucks I am alright with the way it shoots and now the trigger pull. IMO you get what you pay for tho. But it will be just a fun gun to out back and burn up bullets. 40 cal.
