Hold on there pardner. Ain't no laws being broke. You didn't solicit them to try to scam you, you didn't ask for the check. Postal laws state if you get something in the mail and didn't order it, you can keep it and do what you want with it. Their loss for trying to scam somebody, your gain for being smarter than them.
