Got this one off Gunbroker back in December, final bid was $333. Been wanting one of these for quite a few years. Chambered in .300 Savage(Found out I really love this cartridge), according to the serial it was made in 1954. Bluing is worn pretty good, but to me it's just the character of the gun. Wish I knew where this thing has been. Whacked this doe with it back in January. She was quartering to me at about 60 yards, bullet went in just in front of her shoulder and stopped in the opposite flank just in front of her hind quarter. The 150gr speer flat base traveling about 2600, tore up EVERYTHING in between. Needless to say I've fell deeply in love with this rifle. Shoots 1 1/2" groups at 100yds(gonna try to get this better playing with my loads a bit), levers nice and smooth, and the internal rotary mag with the brass counter has to be one of the coolest things I've ever seen.
