If I put a scope on my AR and get it sighted in, could I remove it for a time then put it back on (the weaver style mounts with finger screws) and have it still be reasonably close to zeroed?

You won't be putting the scope back on the same every time. It'll be close but you'll have to sight it back in every time you take it off. Like he said his was an inch off after he remounted the scope.
It's gong to be close sid but even if you put them in on the same slots. You won't tighten them the same every time and jus that will shift your poi.
