We had a good turnout (though we had targets for more, so come on out next year if you missed it!). The morning started cold and damp and gave us some grief with pasters but we endeavored to persevere LOL and it was overall a great day for shooting.

Congratulations to Mr. McGehee for the Vintage bolt win, Mr. C Townsend for the M1 Garand win and Mr. Davis for the Service Rifle win! A huge thanks to all who came out and helped get this one set up and taken down and especially for Mr. Ralph for calling the match for us and also for Mr. Simpson and Shack for getting a jump on setup Friday evening! Hope to see the same great, or better, turnout starting in March! Thanks.

I think the scores for offhand and slow prone are reversed in modern military.

You’re right, but I think Chad’s worn out from this season.

Yeah plugged it into my default sheet, I’ll fix it in a little bit
Thanks for a great match everyone. Sorry I had to cut out early, we had to meet the realtor at 2.

I knew my shooting was gonna suck after the sighters...lol I've got to build a lighter rifle or have surgery on my shoulder, think the building a rifle will be cheaper and less painful....LOL

This was a great match !! Probably the most shooters I've seen since I started attending these matches. Keep up the good work Bobby and Chad! Looking forward to see what next year will hold for the program

At least a very good reason for putting another rifle together and avoiding surgery is a good thing.
Disregarding the recent spreadsheet faux pas, I think our new Match Director and Assistant Match Director did an outstanding job this year. I vote that we double your salary for 2020.

I enjoy the challenge of the sport, but it's the people that keep me coming back.

Thanks to everyone involved.

I inherited a couple of vintage rifles, but i'm not sure if they would be "legal" to use.

One is a M1 but it has had the stock replaced with a synthetic one.

The other is a bolt action, something. I cant remember. It also has a different stock. I think someone put it on a wooden hunting stock. Its either a Springfield or a Mauser.
You could definitely shoot either one of them for fun so plan to come on out in March. We’ll get a schedule up first of the year. As far as turning in the scores to the CMP, the synthetic would be a no go and the bolt we just need to see and evaluate. PM me if needed.
I picked them up today

I was wrong about the M1, but I'm not sure about the Springfield 1903
