How often should the sear spring be replaced in a 1911? I have about 10k rounds through mine. Thanks, Gale

I use mine until it malfunctions and I have never had one malfunction.

Gale,
I wouldn't worry about this. Are you having problems? I put 40K rounds through my older 1911 and what I replaced often was the recoil spring and the shock buff pads. Next were the mag springs. Hope your well. A good resource would be Brian or Robbie who almost exclusively shoot 1911s year round.

Not having any problems other than my shooting ability. Just did not know if it should be changed out on a regular basis. Thanks
