Anyone here sell reloaded ammo? What if any laws are there in MS that require a permit if any? What about liability insurance? Not looking to get into business, but have some friends that want to buy some, but not sure about it.

I would never sell any of my reloads for several reasons:

1. Would not like the BATF to pay me a visit for selling ammo without a manufactures license;
2. Friends are friends until something happens. You will not know the condition of the firearm the ammo will be used in ... while I am a careful reloader, mistakes can and do happen. Could not live with the fact I actually got someone hurt. Of course the "friend" could sue you ....

While I try to stay away from loading other people ammo, I have "given" some reloads to friends and have loaded some up for them when they furnish the components. However, I do know what they will be shot in ... and we have that understanding up front. I usually let them come over and load their own with me there showing them what to do.

My :2c: for what it is worth!!

+1 on not selling ammo. Anytime one of my friends offers to "let" me load some ammo for them I offer them the use of my equipment with me teaching them how to do it.

IMO, Unless you are actually selling for profit and there is a paper trail there is no way the law would get involved.
But your best buddy will blame you if a problem arises. Civil suits are costly.
I can't save them any with 9's being 15.oo a box.
My time is only free to my lady .... that's what she told me anyway ....

I never sell or lend reloads...way too much liability. I have, several times, offered to have folks come over to use my equipment under my guidance...but they do all the work and take all the responsibility...and I make them check powder levels a couple of times before seating the bullets. I make sure the charges are weighed correctly and thrown consistently from reliable published sources which the reloader has checked himself. I've started a couple of guys on a new aspect of the shooting sports this way.

You would be surprised at the # of people who have asked me to reload for them. I don't do it but tell them what they need to get and I will help them get started reloading for themselves. Several have done this and started reloading their own. I will always be there for any question they have and show them whatever they need to see on how to properly load their ammo. It's rewarding to load your own and done properly makes some fine ammo to use. A lot better preforming ammo with more concitency in loads for better accuracy than commercially produced ammo in my opinion.
