I loaded Sierra Game Kings in my 6.5 Creedmoor and Sierra Match Kings in my sons .308 I was having issues with the bolts being very tight and not wanting to close. Turns out the bullet is a different shape I saw a guy on youtube mention it. Seated them .05 lower and bam was loading effortlessly and no issues. Both weapons are Savages so maybe thats the issue shorter chamber

You may want to get a bullet comparator at some point. They measure off the ogive of the bullet and not the tip. It will help you find seating depths when trying different bullets.

Can also do it the cheap way and cut a slit in the neck of a case and place a bullet in it. Chamber the case/bullet and seat it by hand and it will push the bullet deeper in the case when it hits the lands. This will give you OAL to the lands and you can adjust accordingly.
