I've shot one(stykers6) and it shot very well. I think they have a small break in stage that you will need to use good ammo for. After that you should be ok. The gun feels very good in the hand.

I have one, love it and have never had any problems with it.

They got a bad rep when they first came out. The early ones were very ammo picky and people didn't shoot CCI min mags in it(like the owners manual says) for a couple hundred rounds to break it in.
Since then Sig made some design changes and it seems most of the probelms have gone away. If you do get one, break it in with the Mini Mags, then you can find a bulk .22 it likes.

My only complaint about the gun is the cost of extra magazines.
$30 to $50 depending on where you find them and if they are steel or poly.

Well I guess I am the only one that got a bad one. I had the tactical one and it was the worst gun I ever owned. I tried changing between the 2 different springs that came with and many different kinds of ammo, cleaned the heck, changed magazines out and still jammed constantly. CCI was the only thing that made one magazine through it. I traded it at a gun show for a Browning Buck Mark with the fluted barrel. I was happy to get rid of it!

Speaking of mags, I saw some Sig factory mags on the shelf at Academy in Mobile for $24 on Saturday. I paid more than that for Ruger factory MK II mags.

I like mine so far. It really likes the CCI mini mags. I know that's what the factory recemends. I had to change out my front sight to get POI right. I Feel for you on the magazines. They are salty no doubt, but all SIG magazines are that way. I have tried bulk Remington ammo it didn't like it much, but I had failed to change the recoil spring(My Fault there). Other than that it's been a lot of fun. Another plus is that it's sooo much easier to put back togather than a Ruger.

My cousin has one and loves it! It's a bit picky about the ammo but he shoots CCI Mini Mag High Velocity in his and it does very well. Sure lets you put a lot of holes in paper for a lot less money!

Ive done a little more reading since i wrote that, ill be going witha ruger for my next .22 pistol. The p22 i had had numerous issues, this wasnt an older gun either... it was made may of 09 if i remeber right. It wouldnt feed anything reliably and when it would feed it would either skip a round or fail to eject. The majority of its problems were a faulty barrel(chamber was on the short sideand throat was cut a little off) There was also a good bit of casting flash and general roughness inside, it was much smoother once i polished that out , but still wasnt reliable. It was sent back to s&w and sold as soon as it was returned. It wasnt remotely impressive in any way other than accuracy, i expected much more for what it cost. I wouldnt buy another at 50% off.

I bought an OD mosquito today. Traded in my P22 plus some cash to get it. I liked my P22, but it was a bit small for me and I lost 2 of the 3 sights; they kept just popping out.

Went to trade it in on an OD glock 23. The glock was gone, so I came home with the Mosquito instead. At least I still have a .22 pistol around.

I would give the GSG 1911 a look. Youtube has many videos on this one and i have never heard of it being picky on ammo. Everyone says it shoots bulk pack really well and is the quietest host for a supressor. The old ones had a few problems with parts but they have fixed that now.
