i have a compact kimber with the fixed factory sights . i cant see the sights at night for shooting random varmints and the sights are alittle big for my liking . wat are my options . it is my cc gun so i gont want anything that will snag or make the gun not fit in a holster . no lasers .

Heinie and novak make some lower profile 1911 sights. Kimber also sells Meprolight brand night sights through their dealers. I have a kimber at home with the meprolight night sights on them, and I am quite happy with them.

i am a big fan of the novak low profile rear sight with a green fiber optic dot for the front. (my eyes dont seem to pick up the red insert well, although that is what most folks seem to like)

I have the Kimber Ultra Carry II. And I have the same problem. I'm leaning towards the Mepro sites that Kimber offers. But I know that there are other fine sites out there. Just go to a couple gun shops and see what's available for your weapon. That way you can do a visual choice.
