That's a definite possibility! And is my theory as well, but no biggie because it's under warranty, and either way it shouldn't have broken like that.
I called in once about the rust on the barrel, and the woman I talked to was great and seemed glad to help, and I expressed my concerns about paying that much for a gun and the barrel not even being stainless, and she hunored me, but it turned out I just kept putting it off and cleaned it up myself pretty well, but it's back again so while they got it I might as well get em to fix it. As long as no one was hurt I see no reason to be hostile towards anyone about it, just want it fixed so that I can get my moneys worth.slabsides45 said:Keep us posted on what happens and what they say.
Word of advice that's likely worth what you're paying for it: be really nice and respectful when you call in. From everything I've read on the errornet, Anne and some of the others will often mirror the attitude of the caller. Every time I've personally called them, they've done exactly what I've called asking for, and been professional and courteous... but not so much with some others based on their written accounts.
Sorry for your issues, CDP is one of the better guns I've owned.
i popped the broken safety back in it today and engaged the safety a few times just to test it out, and it felt like those holes are supposed to be there, but i've never done a detail strip of that gun before, so i don't know for sure, i'm going to take some higher quality pictures tomorrow before i ship it off.Joe S. said:Is that hole not supposed to be there? The safeties have a post that slides into a hole that should be right about there?
Was he shooting +p or regular ammo?
If he had bumped it into safety while shooting, it shouldn't have fired...
my thoughts exactly! i've never been more pleased with customer service before! my only complaint is the day of phone tag, but i was just as guilty as they were that day, except theirs was because the lines were busy, and i just kept losing my phone. Granted, the next time they call to let me know the pistol has been tested and is good to go, i may get a complete jerk, but i've spoken to the same guy everytime i've been in contact with them in the past 2 weeks, and he's been nothing but professional and polite.slabsides45 said:Sounds like the legendary crappy service Kimber is known for.... not.
ha most definitely! i was worried i wouldnt be able to trust it, but barring no mishaps in my next few trips to the mag, i'm going to say its good to gocaptain-03 said:Great news!! Sounds like you are on cloud 9 NOW!!
