Resisting the urge to hijack @HerrZnk ’s 1911 thread. I figured id start a new one.

What are the most common parts to break? Which do you keep on hand? Are there more resilient alternatives?

I have a few extra LPKs, and a few other leftovers but no dedicated spare parts.

I stocked up on gas rings and a few other small parts when midway ran them on clearance a few years ago. I keep at least one spare bcg on hand plus a spare bolt head and firing pin. Usually have a bunch of other stuff also but that varies on what I’ve had to use to fix a gun or loan to someone.

I just remembered I do have a spare bolt w/gas rings and extractor. Not to mention redundancy in the AR15 platform.

I need to get some spare parts for my PA10. I have zero redundancy there.

Buy a Ruger Mini 14 :). You know I don't hear or see Avery many parts breaking on these. I have seen firing pins break on shotguns and a high powered rifle. Iagree with the parts kit and believe in having more than one gun of the same type and caliber.
