It's an auto/pump shotgun. You can shoot it like an auto or pump it like a pump shotgun. where very popular when they came out in '80's used to see them everywhere then they kinda disappeared, don't know why.

I will tell you from experience (don't have it anymore)... It takes "full-powered" loads (buckshot loads work) to function in SEMI. The 3 dram loads just short-cycle.

I had a top folding stock SPAS many years ago. BADASS looking, but more show than go......... IMHO. Still a good shotty to own.

I shoot my friend's all the time and subgun is right, you can't use the light load or short brass in it if you're going put it in the auto mode. They just won't eject. I like the recoil on it though.

Franchi is the manufacture. Arnold Schwarzenegger made it 'famous' in the movie TERMINATOR when he went into the gun shop and asked the guy for one sitting on the wall. He loaded a shell and blasted him with it then walked out with all of the firearms he wanted. He later used it in the Police Station scene.

Thanks for the reminder Bubba. Friend with FFL had one. He said the pump action was for rubber bullet and as the wiki said, tear gas and bean bags. Boy I wanted one of those but it was in our salad days.
