For shooting at the Chevron range in Pascagoula. 200 yards max distance for that range.

WalMart has a Simmons for $59.99. I purchased one 2 years ago, several of our HP rifle shooters liked it and purchased them as well. It does very well for us at our HP matches (200, 300, and 600 yds). I can use it to observe mirage and vapor trail very well, and have no trouble seeing the spotters / impacts at 600. That being said you get what you pay for; you cannot realistically compare spotting scopes under $100 to those which are $200 +. If you are going to be using it at the ranges mentioned (or less) this Simmons scope will do the job in your price range. If you come to the SW Gun Club matches you can check them out.
That sounds exactly like what Im looking for, just something to take to the range to see how we are doing without walking down to the targets every 5 minutes
Here is a complete Im a noob when it comes to scopes question for you, how to I determine the distances a scope can be used at?
