Walked into the shop yestrday and there was a guy walking out with a Mossberg 500 Tactical. He had just traded for it. When I sat down the owner asked if I wanted another 45. He handed me a Springfield with bump beavertail grip safety, ambi slide safety, and three mags. It didn't have a price marked on and when I asked he said $350. I cussed and pulled out my checkbook.

I haven't fired it yet so the range report will be coming after today. The camera is at work so you will have to wait until later today for pics. I know I said before I preffered American made and machined frame and slide over Brazilian made forged, but for $350 I couldn't leave it in the shop.

Springfield Loaded, good to know. If I absolutely don't like it I can always use it as a base gun for a custom build. I'm pleasedwith how it looks. I'll let you know how it shoots tomorrow.

I shot a friends H&K, my P220 and the Springfield yesterday. I have small hands and the H&K felt like I was shooting a brick. It is very thick. The P220 is just a sweet 45. I've been shooting it for about 8 years and it feels like an old friend to me.

The Springfield didn't miss a lick. It handled everything I put through it. I didn't shoot off the bench but accuracy was very good. I would prefer a white dot over the Novak's that are on it. I might change that later.

The only problem I have now is which do I build up first, the Kimber in 40 or the Springfield in 45?

Great price! Great gun too, I have a springer that's been collecting dust for a few years. It's a race gun, and I don't shoot comp...maybe I'll find someone who does. Shame to have it just sitting in there doing nothing.

Shot the Springfield and the Kimber today. The Springfield is going to be a keeper. It isn't as accurate as the Kimber but it is close. I'm happy with both purchases.
