I was looking around for a SA hat w/ the crossed cannons logo on it (anybody know where I can find one?) so I figured I would check SA's website...the first page that loaded was a picture of a nice looking park'd 1911 with a ss bushing and purdee cocobolo grips. My initial reaction was "oooh" so I checked it out and it seems to be a trophy match without all the extras and from what I gathered its an "affordable" comp gun. I'm not big on competition guns but I thought I might bring it to the attention of those of you who are. Has anybody else seen/shot/fondled one of these?

The key to that (from someone married 28 yrs) is to catch a word in there every once in a while and keep nodding your head and saying uh hu. When she quiz's you, throw out them couple words you caught and be vague.

I recently picked up a SA 1911 GI. It's plenty accurate for me and an all around great gun. I imagine that the one you're looking at would be a dream, especially with the better sights!

I wasnt in the dog house long at all, my wife is pretty laid back and understands that I am easily distracted by shiny things that go boom... she kind of laughed and called me a butt, that was the worst of it

Looks like a rebagded Loaded to me....Just another brilliant SA marketing skeem. Only thing that makes it anything is that it will be a limited production run of 500..
