I have a NM blackhawk that has a very sweet trigger. I have a super redhawk that has a trigger not nearly as good as the blackhaw, with hammer cocked. How much would a smith charge to lighten and smooth the DA trigger? Do ya'll know if there is much to it?

I had one slicked up one time, but a local guy sent it off to have it done. It was done by a guy in MS. It had a great double action, but the single still had some creep.
Man this thing has no creep, no overtravel, no bad nuthin. Complete action job. Slick DA trigger also. SA trigger broke at 2.5 lbs. He smoothed/polished the trigger blade and hammer also.

good choice. Let us know what he is working on right now. It is always something interesting in his shop.
Today, he was showing me his latest rifle build. It was in 25.06 AI. The action, bbl, and stock each probably cost more than any gun I own. It was sweet!

was the action a trued remington or a surgeon action. He has done a few builds lately using the surgeon action. They are more expensive than a used rem action but he said after the labor of truing the rem action you are pretty close to the cost of the surgeon action. He sure can build some pretty guns though.

one of the nicest ones i saw there was the 223 he built for his dad on a nesika bay action, w/ nightforce scope on top, trigger set at 2oz. man was it a work of art.
