Anybody have any experience with a Star Firestar 9mm. Thinking about getting one for concealed carry but don't know much about them. I do know that they do not make firearms anymore.

star made good stuff. the firestar is like a cross between a sig and 1911. I wanna say the only negative thing people really had to say about them was the trigger sucked

The Firestars were good little guns, a little heavy for there size but I really liked them. I use to have 6 of them. A stainless and blue one in each caliber. 9mm,.40 and .45 acp. Never had a problem out of any of them. I put thousands of rounds through them. Never thought the triggers were that bad. Wish I still had one.

Knew a couple of guys who owned one and they loved them. Never got to shoot one myself so this is second hand info.

Machining isn't the greatest from the ones I saw, but servicable. Some had issues with QC, but again if you get a good one it'll be diamond in the ruff. Dad had 22 of theirs from back in the 50's I believe he used it in bullseye. Nuff said!

I've handled a Star Firestar 9mm. It was HEAVY! I didn't get a chance to shoot it. Not something I would use!

i had one in .40s&w in the starvel finish that i liked but the
parts availibilty made me trade it off.

i'll buy another one if i can find one but i really want it to be
in 9mm..

because of course now i have find a parts source.
