They say only shoot at 100yrds .. I take it they are talking rifle ... HOW ABOUT PISTOL .. safe to shoot at 10-35yrds?

Pistol ammo isnt going to faze 1/2 plate... well that 500 s&w might. If i ever get my plasma cuter ill be making ones like these and plate racks and whatever else i can dream up to sell

I can cut youa piece of 3/8ths this week. Its not big enough for one like what they have posted, ill try to get a measurement tomorrow evening to see what i can cut out of it. 3/8ths will be more than adequate for pistol.

It not the thickness of the steel but the "grade" of steel that matters

If you can make some that will handle even non magnum pistol loads I'd be all over 'em

I haven't seen much that can handle a 44 mag without cratering...but if you can come up with some....well

I know what grades of plate to use, finding a local source is another matter. There isnt any grading marks on what i have right now, but i know its not a normal grade because of what it was originally intended for.

It don't matter for the test....main thing is they need to be flat

I would think cast lead boolits are gonna be a lot easier on it.

Rectangles and circles....8 inch 12 inch on circles

It's not very thick. Not more than a 1/2". It came off a RR car door.
