I really need to start painting stocks,Ive painted cars off and on for years so i gues this could be a natural offshoot. Not really my style 'neck, but looks good.
I like it and at it does break up a solid pattern. I like firearms that stand out, not the same old same old. Wouldn't do it to a firearm I wasn't going to keep. Post some pic's when you get it done. That pamplet you get on the way out yesterday get you to thinking?
I like it. I saw Clint Smith's rifle done kinda like that in a gun magazine and have liked it every since. His was green with black skulls if I remember correctly. Looks like someone left some finger prints on the forearm though. lol.
NECK, get the skulls done in different colors (tan, o.d. green, brown) on a black stock. It will look camp from a distance, but up close it will surprise people.
Our neighbor has skulls ghosted into the purple paint on his Harley and they look cool.
We ain't sinister bro, we like different. You should get your screename put in behind the deer skulls on the other gun. Cool huh.
Yea, have thought about trying my airbrush skills out on a stock myself. Use to do some light work on motorcycles when I was painting them.... Here are a few shots from another artist.... may give you some ideas to relay to who does your artwork
like the lense covers... like the camo skulls idea, but the black and white just dont really do it for me. i liked clint smiths rifle ok, but now that he has had it rebuilt and plain colors, i like it a LOT better...
