I loaded some 55 grain FMJ's today with 3.9 grains of Bluedot, fairly quiet out of my suppressor but I was expecting less noise. My 10/22 is super quiet with subsonics that are faster than these .223 loads, why is that?

Are you using a .223 can?

Yep, she's a .223 and the data shows to be below 900fps. I thought it'd sound like a mouse farting, more like a possume!

Kinda off thread here but can any round be loaded under starting grains. Guess what I'm asking is: is there any danger in "under loading" cartridges to get subsonic ammo. Also where can I find data on subsonic rounds.

Only danger I can think of is leaving a bullet in your barrel.
