How do you like that sig and hk with the trident, any function problems with the lcd? Looking to upgrade to a better host than a 92 for mine "few years old, one of the first trident 9's", also who did the work on the 38/357 handi rifle?
Sig wins out of all the handgun hosts I have as far as sound, I have not had any reliability problems with my Trident and LCD on any Glock, Beretta, Sig, HK, etc. The thing just plain works on anything I put it on, even with my very light subsonic reloads it works flawless. Glock 26 is a little finicky due to it being so small but with the proper loads I can make mine cycle fine 95% of the time. I love all my hosts guns, the Glock gets shot the most, the Sig is what I break out when I am showing off my can to buddies. I like it too much to put a ton of ammo through it.
The Beretta 92 is a top notch host gun as well, don't get me wrong. I have 2 threaded 92s (an older italian INOX and a M92A1) and they are very close to the Sig as far as the sound goes. If your 92 will cycle with the fixed thread mount and not the LCD it will be quieter than with the LCD. My old INOX will cycle without the LCD, the M92A1 won't (it's hit or miss if they will, 2 of my buddies bought brand new ones from the same store the same day, both had Tornado Tech thread their barrels, and one will cycle with my Trident and no LCD, one wont)
Long Range Precision did the handi rifle barrel work, they did a hell of a job too, with an insane price/turnaround compared to the competition. It cost me $90 total for them to cut down the barrel to 16.1", thread, recrown, reblue the metal where they did the machining, build a smooth thread protector out of the cut off part of the barrel (so it looks like a factory barrel that is not threaded with the protector on), and that $90 included return shipping and insurance. It took 7 days from the time my rifle arrived to them until I received a tracking number saying it was on it's way back to me. A buddy of mine told me about them as they don't have a website and are pretty small right now, I have sent them 3 more barrels since then and the work has been top notch every time. Their email is

miker84, the sig is by far my favorite host gun. It's stupid quiet with the can on it, plus the factory suppressor night sights and factory 1/2-28 threaded barrel make it that much cooler.
