Also will have some pics this weekend of my 1979 Remington 870 Wingmaster Police San Quentin Prison version (the gun was used by the guards and is factory engraved from Remington with SQ Prison on it, pretty sweet gun)

Are those at Sardis/is it legal to shoot out on the lake bed? Nice looking collection!
Thanks guys.

Eaglestroker, yes it's out at Sardis, it's not on the lake it's a creek/field area that is kinda in the woods off the main area and no it's not techinically legal. However I am out there every weekend and all summer and have become friends with the US Core of Engineers guys who patrol the area and they dont mind if I do. I pick up every single shell and any trash that is around my area (whether its mine or not) and help them make sure everyone picks all their crap up. If you go out there are usually a ton of people out there shooting illegally, what gets people in trouble is when people go out and shoot skeet and leave 200 shells and empty beer cans lying around and leave. They tend to look the other way if you act responsible and mature about it and arent in an area where there are a bunch of people around. Plus when I am out there shooting it's nice and quiet and doesn't disturb anyone  .

Beladran, sure is. It's a 20'ish year old coors mirror/sign I picked it up at an antique store a while back for $5. I have a bunch of old beer/whiskey/coke signs I have collected over the past couple of years.

I don't have the 'quiet' luxury, I live at Old Sardis Place so just come pick me up next time on your way out
I can do that, I'm not but 2 miles from you off of Molly Barr. PM me your phone number and I will send you a text next time I head out there, will probably be a week or two but your more than welcome to join :drink:

Man...... I hope OPD doesn't find you..... :)

VERY NICE collection of goodies ! ! !

Back around 1976 while at Ole Miss, I took my AR-15 out to Sardis (the road that goes past the airport and keeps going all the way to the back water area). Back then it was a dirt road not too far past the airport and had a creek on the way that had MANY 22RF, 9mm and 223 bullets placed there by............

The 2 main things I remember that day shooting at the Sardis back water area was..... 1. There was an old concrete structure of some type about 100yds out. When the 223 bullets hit it they would send big plumes of concrete dust flying. 2. A tracer round skipped off something and went sailing off in a beautiful arc over Sardis.....

.
Thanks SubGunFan. Are you talking about the big concrete thing that looks kinda like it is a bridge or dock? kinda shaped like /--------\, if so it's still out there. Right now the water line is a good 150 yards past it (the water is real real low). I was wondering what chipped that thing up so bad, now I know :mg: . The creek you are talking about is the same one in the background of those two pictures out at sardis (the water was high and it filled in a low area there making a small pond area), however that picture is about 1/2 a mile or so from the road.

How do you like that sig and hk with the trident, any function problems with the lcd? Looking to upgrade to a better host than a 92 for mine "few years old, one of the first trident 9's", also who did the work on the 38/357 handi rifle?
Sig wins out of all the handgun hosts I have as far as sound, I have not had any reliability problems with my Trident and LCD on any Glock, Beretta, Sig, HK, etc. The thing just plain works on anything I put it on, even with my very light subsonic reloads it works flawless. Glock 26 is a little finicky due to it being so small but with the proper loads I can make mine cycle fine 95% of the time. I love all my hosts guns, the Glock gets shot the most, the Sig is what I break out when I am showing off my can to buddies. I like it too much to put a ton of ammo through it.

The Beretta 92 is a top notch host gun as well, don't get me wrong. I have 2 threaded 92s (an older italian INOX and a M92A1) and they are very close to the Sig as far as the sound goes. If your 92 will cycle with the fixed thread mount and not the LCD it will be quieter than with the LCD. My old INOX will cycle without the LCD, the M92A1 won't (it's hit or miss if they will, 2 of my buddies bought brand new ones from the same store the same day, both had Tornado Tech thread their barrels, and one will cycle with my Trident and no LCD, one wont)

Long Range Precision did the handi rifle barrel work, they did a hell of a job too, with an insane price/turnaround compared to the competition. It cost me $90 total for them to cut down the barrel to 16.1", thread, recrown, reblue the metal where they did the machining, build a smooth thread protector out of the cut off part of the barrel (so it looks like a factory barrel that is not threaded with the protector on), and that $90 included return shipping and insurance. It took 7 days from the time my rifle arrived to them until I received a tracking number saying it was on it's way back to me. A buddy of mine told me about them as they don't have a website and are pretty small right now, I have sent them 3 more barrels since then and the work has been top notch every time. Their email is [email protected]

miker84, the sig is by far my favorite host gun. It's stupid quiet with the can on it, plus the factory suppressor night sights and factory 1/2-28 threaded barrel make it that much cooler.
