600 Yard Prone/ F-Class Rifle Match
September 25, 2010

When: Signup 8:00 to 8:30 AM, shooting starts at 9:00 AM
Location: Burn’s Range, Bogue Chitto , Ms (see map on back)

This is a NRA Sanctioned League, points will be accumulated and reported at end of league for national ranking.
All shooting is done from prone position. Things to bring to the match: spotting scope or binoculars
for scoring, pen or pencil, Ice chest with cold drinks, & approximately 47 rounds of ammunition for individual match.. Each shooter will fire 2 x 20 round strings for record at 600 yards. A maximum of five sighting shots can be used during the first string. Second strings will allow a maximum of 2 sighting shots. Squadding will be a conventional three relay rotation. All shooters will be required to score and perform pit duties. * New this year there will be a 2 man team match immediately following the individual match. Team shooters will need an additional 22 rounds of ammunition.
Medals will be awarded in each class including team. Handicap points for team match by classification.

CLASSES:
F-CLASS OPEN (F-O) A: High Master, Master, & Expert
F-CLASS OPEN (F-O) B: Sharp Shooter, & Marksman
Maximum weight including attachments 22 lbs, bipod or rest may be used along with rear bag (not inc. in wt), telescope of any power, .35 caliber maximum.
F-CLASS TARGET RIFLE (F-TR) A: Master, & Expert
F-CLASS TARGET RIFLE (F-TR) B: Sharp Shooter, & Marksman
Maximum weight including attachments 18.18 lbs, bipod only along with rear bag (rear bag not inc. in wt), telescope of any power, unmodified .223 REM & .308 WIN calibers only.
CONVENTIAL: Metallic sights, sling, NRA Fullbore Prone Rifle Rules Section 3 apply
NRA Classification or Temporary Score Book Classification for class designation
Empty chamber indicators required all classes

Course of Fire:
600 yards: 5 sighters in 5 minutes time limit on MR-1FC target
1. 20 shots 20 minutes on MR-1FC (MR-1 Conventional)Target 600 yards for record
600 yards: 2 sighters in 2 minutes time limit on MR-1FC target
2. 20 shots 20 minutes on MR-1FC (MR-1 Conventional)Target 600 yards for record
4. Aggregate is score of match 1 & 2
2 Man team match following individual match
1. 20 shots 20 minutes on MR-1FC (MR-1 Conventional)Target 600 yards for record
600 yards: 2 sighters in 2 minutes time limit on MR-1FC target
2. Aggregate score of team members
Fees: $15.00 for Adults, one time $ 7.00 NRA League fee.
Additional $5.00 for each team member in team match

wasn't going to do it but Mstrophyhunter started it. This was my group the other day at 300 yards
out of my new rifle. Got witnesses. :lol:


Nice looking rifle though.

that is insane!! What caliber is that and what grain bullet were you shooting? Very little wind I guess.

6.5x47 130gr Bergers
Just a 4 shot group I was doing some more load testing and this was a load that shot real good at 200 and again at 300 I had 4 pieces of brass left and loaded it again , Not quite the velocity I want but keep going back to it because it has shot extremelly well every time I have shot it.

Man that's stout, I'm glad I just go to shoot for fun. :thumbup:

It was definatelly a hot one. Jimbo spanked everyone in the Open-A division with Lance (Mo) winning the Open-B division. Jagermaster took the F/TR-A and Mildot won the F/TR-B. Dan H. took the Conventional and wound up with Jimbo and Mo teaming up to win the team match. Congradulations to the winners. I will post the scores as soon as I can figure out how to copy and paste from excel to the forum without it coming in as a jumbled up mess.
