There are specialty rounds used for breaching so that people on the other side aren't hit.
Figure out whale what shotgun load you plan to use for self-defense and go from there.
But if your heart is set on the breacher's tactical look, buy it.

I've seen people use super-glue to attach the sights and have them easily knocked off.
