i have a tactical solutions barrel on my 10/22 . it used to group awsome now it makes 4 inch groups and it has been cleaned till the bore was shinny with no change in accuracy. whats wrong every thing is tight exept the groups

tryed every brand . best group is brick federals , it has changed its taste in ammo about 4 times .

Have you tried any Ely Target ammo ?? I have a 10/22 with a Tactical Solutions barrel and it shoots them best.. The CCI Mini Mag and CCI Stingers are close... It will shoot 1/2 groups at 40 yds. off sandbags.. Every barrel is different to what they like the best..

It sounds like a muzzle problem. Is it possible the muzzle is damaged? Have you been using a rod guide when cleaning the bore.

I agree shouldn't shoot really good then start shooting bad or changing its preference in ammo also. Sounds like there may be damage to the crown.

IF started acting up AFTER you cleaned it real good -- Shoot a brick through it and do NOT clean the barrel ... then see what she does .... Had a 10/22 that shot really good .. never cleaned it until no day I figured it needed it ... couldn't get it to shoot straight until I had put another brick through it ... just a thought ... All I do now is just run a bore snack through it every now and then ...

Captian's right most .22lr firearms shoot better with a dirty bore.

I had a 10/22 that wouldn't shoot clean, let it get 50 or so rounds out the tube and it would come back to life.
