Getting ready to purchase a small frame .45 Cal. leaning heavy towards the Taurus PT-145 Pro. Has anyone had any issues with this gun? Is it a good CCW.
I have the double action only version. I've had it for about 5 years o think. I love it. A lot of firepower in a very concealable size. Mind is ultra reliable. I have over 1000 rds thru it with just 2 or 3 ftf. I have read some bad stuff about them on the net, but I trust mine completely. Get a good quality holster and tote that dude!
Not the 145 but I carry a pt-140. Laugh if you want but I chose it over a glock just because of the thumb safety. It has never failed to fire. I really like it but now I'm looking at a compact 1911 style just for a change. Not going to sell the Taurus though.
Have a PT145 Mil Pro, bought Feb. 2010. Went back to Taurus 2 weeks and about 100 Rds. Broke the trigger bar, stayed there almost 7 weeks. Haven't had anymore trouble out of it. Carry it everywhere I go. Short enough to carry IWB or OWB.
