Hey All -

Apologize if this has been posted and I missed it - Billy Taylor is clearing out his shop and closing the doors at his current location. Stopped by today and left a little cash behind - finally found the Mosin Nagant I've been searching for.

If you're in the market for anything, might give Billy a look-see as everything in the shop is for sale:

- Ammo, scopes and anything hanging on the walls is 30% off
- Handguns are cost + $14
- Long guns are going at cost

It was pretty hectic while I was in there, but I think I've got the above info correct -

Papa

The shop's number is 601-824-0708 and they'rer open until around 6 PM. He is closing the doors at close of business Thursday, September 30.

Shop is on Hwy 18 going away from Home Depot. Across 18 from Boyt Honda in a small strip mall - 103 Christian Drive, Suite A, Brandon.

He is not going out of business, he is moving. He had a break-in, after that his landlord would not renew the lease. I think he found a place in Pearl. Billy is a great guy to deal with and has a large inventory.

The last time I was in there not long after the break in he was talking about moving. But if he is just moving why discount so much stuff? Not like he's not use to loading it up and moving it to the gun shows.
My guess is he is still making plenty of profit at the reduced cost.

Dock Rocker - Sure hope you're right about Billy just changing locations and that I misunderstood what he said. It was busy and noisy while I was in there this afternoon as they were moving out display cases that he'd sold to another shop owner. Always hate to see a local small business bite the dust. Besides that, I enjoy dealing with him and he's always treated me fairly -

Leave something for me, I can't make it until Sat pm at the earliest, this dang vacation has got my life all screwed-up. Seven days off and haven't shot a thing since Saturday (course that WAS quite a lot) "Honey-do's are killin' me. Now... :OT1:

I dropped by Billy's today and he is not closing. His lease is not being renewed by his current landlord and he has to move. He is having trouble finding a place to move to. Apparently there are quite a few local laws about gunshops. Anyway Mr. Billy is going to be around for a while longer. He is having a pretty good sale untill he moves though, yall may want to check it out. I also bumped into sigma74216 while I was in there. We were both deal hunting.

Actually met Muddawg at Home Depot today to pick-up a rifle. Stopped by Taylor's on my way home .. You are right, not going out of business, just looking for a new spot!!

A good many used guns in there ... some SKSs, a couple Universal M1 carbines, and 1 garand .. however, too rich for my blood ... had a good time looking around!!
