In honor of our new subforum, I decided to unveil our most anticipated match of the year so far:

Team Magnolia Multigun Carbine Match
Sunday, August 21

Since it’s rifle only we will only use paper targets and walls. So setup, teardown, and reset will be easy with no steel.

We are trying something new for this match: Setup will be at 6pm Saturday. If you help you shoot for free. Anything not finished will be built Sunday morning. We are doing this to ensure we get to shoot 5 stages in time.
We will have 5 divisions. Feel free to sign up for two divisions max.
  1. Rimfire
  2. PCC
  3. Standard Rifle ( and M1 Carbine) (30 carbine and 300blk are here, not heavy)
  4. AK (any caliber of AK platform)
  5. Heavy (7.62x51 minimum, only 1 hit per paper required to neutralize)
You can sign up for a second rifle, but you may or may not be allowed to shoot it. You will if we have room. So, if you sign up for a second rifle, place yourself in squad 6. If the other squads aren’t filled you will be able to shoot your second rifle.

Setup: 6 A.M. Please be punctual.
Registration/Check-In will start as soon as stages are built, hopefully before 8.
Hammer down: 8:30-9:00 A.M. (earlier if stages are built)

Cost:
Free if you are there Saturday evening and building stages
Team Magnolia and juniors: $15
Non-members: $25
You can sign up for Team Magnolia at the match for a $30 yearly membership.

Register here.
Please see the facebook group or the facebook page for more information.
Scores posted to Practiscore and MSGO.

OK, thanks..

Next question.... Will a SMG be allowed in the match per the match's rules and Magnolia's rules?
I think if it has a semi auto setting I don't see why not.

If it's only got settings for safe or full auto, I'm about 99% sure the only stage you'd be allowed to shoot is the one on the Back 40.

You're welcome to shoot my 9mm with me. It only has safe or semi haha

If we want to run a 2nd gun, then we pay the fee twice correct? Sounds like I might need to become a member if I keep showing up.
If we have enough room to allow for people to shoot twice, your second rifle will only cost you $10.

But yes, joining Team Magnolia is a wise and frugal decision. If you shoot 3 matches in a year you break even. Starting your fourth match, and every match after that year, you save $10. The boost in funds helps us purchase our targets and posters in bulk to save.
