I have been reading this book for a couple of weeks now and debated as to whether or not to post this on MSGO. TwangBanger's post on meditation today got me to thinking, I need to share this.
The "Prayer Wheel" is based on a prayer aid from the early centuries of the church. Based on the "Our Father" aka "Lord's Prayer", it was discovered in a 1,000 year old book of Gospels in the Liesborn, Germany abbey. Since then more than 70 such prayer wheels have been discovered, used for Christian meditation to find a path to God.
It walks the prayer through four concentric bands: (1) the Our Father, (2) Gifts of the Holy Spirit, (3) Events in the Life of Christ, and (4)the Beatitudes; GOD is at the center. Based on the 7 petitions of the Our Father, it is a daily guide for the Christian to use in meditation. It's not magic, or some strange incantation. This was used by early theologians to meditate and find a personal path to GOD.
It is a guide to daily meditation and I recommend it highly. Here's a link to buy it but I'll loan a copy to anyone if you send me a PM.

I believe that some of the physical and mental practices of eastern religions are good (meditation, yoga, etc) but are directed in the wrong direction (at ones self) but the incorporation of meditation, in the form of prayer to the one true God, being still an listening, and even exercise/stretching like Yoga, can’t be a bad thing.

Thanks for sharing.
you are quite welcome sir. Looking forward to hearing what you think, I'll loan a copy if you wish. Just a personal, one-day-at-a-time guide to meditate on how our LORD Jesus taught us to pray. One week at a time on the 7 petitions of the Our Father. Simple and beautiful, and most important of all, based entirely on scripture. Our Christian forefathers in the early Church weren't necessarily more wise than we, but they did have less distraction and hence more time to seriously THINK about what we believe and WHY we believe. That is something we all need to do, as Psalms 46:10 reads: "Be still, and know that I am GOD." It's really hard to be still and meditate in our 'modern' age.
