The Target Thread

Just a place for me and everyone that wants to to post a target they shot.

So I'll get the party started.

Here is today's paper bowl target shot at 10 yards with the S&W M10, 125 gr TCFP on top of 3.0 gr Bullseye. I've got some more of the same bullet loaded with 4.0 gr Bullseye. Have to say I don't like the 125 gr bullet in the 38spl.

I got a chance to do some load development yesterday for my Ruger 77 Hawkeye in .260 remington. 42 grains of h414, cci primer and 120 g Hornady Amax.

This past Sunday at Magnolia. I've been load testing & I think I may have found it. Savage Model 12 F-class 6mm BR Norma, 5 shot group at 100 yards. Berger 105 VLDs with Reloader 15. 1st shot was cold bore. AG speed 2824.8fps.

No target picture here, but Last week I was going to the range, and made up some home made
splatter type targets, courtesy of the internet super highway.
They weren't perfect, but they worked.

Needed: brightly colored construction paper
Clear shipping tape
Cheap black paint

Cover the paper with the tape, then apply the black paint.
Oh yeah, paint a target dot on the black surface with white, or other paint.

Actually it worked pretty good.

OK. I'll play. But yall know I only shoot at 50 yards! I can't hang with the big boys that shoot any farther!

2 10 shot groups, 50 yards, 2500X 22lr action, eley match ammo. With out a doubt, my best two groups ever.

Great idea for a thread. Hope to get some up here soon. Mine aren't all fancy like the bowls though. Looks like some shooters here so far

LOL, I'll recycle just about anything for targets.

I also enjoy seeing the different targets and the firearms that shot them. You'll have to get some up of your TISAS when you get it back.

This is with my son's Mossberg 100ATR in .270. The ones touching are mine, at 100 yards. The ones not touching are his.

Not to hijack your thread, but I got a question. My .45-70 is fine, but we were also trying to zero my son's. It has a Centerpoint 4x16x40 scope, and it was about 2" high at 25 yards. At 50 yards, it was hitting close to 7" high, and at 100 yards, it wasn't hitting the target at all. Any ideas?

Sounds like the front bell of the scope is touching.
