Tried 3 loads in Bobcat's CVA .45-70. Glad it liked the 46.7 okay, that's what I load for my H&R .45-70. Now, if the SIL gets to go hunting, and it's Primitive Weapon, he can use Bobcat's. Since these are definitely minute of deer, I can take my time tweaking the powder charge. Got some Trailboss to try, too. Planning on doing more of the 46.5 - pretty sure the bottom one was my fault - and some 46.6 grain. Just gotta get some more of those 325 grain FTX's.
0.458", 325 grain Hornady FTX, (46.3, 46.5, 46.7) grains of H4198, Hornady brass, Winchester Large Rifle primers, 2.590" COL
Put the Holosun on a different riser so I could cowitness the the sights, so I took it today to get it sighted in. That sucker was so far off, didn't even touch the paper! Boresighted it when I got home, gonna (maybe) try again tomorrow.
