Might agree with the first 10 with the exception of #8 -- also, think several near the bottom need to be near the top ... Well it would help to read the article first -- NO PARTICULAR ORDER - Just the first 100 ...

I'd say that we keep most of that on hand anyway for normal use. No cigarettes since I quit over 30 years ago. We buy large quantities from Sam's to last several months at a time. I do need to get some more batteries since summer toys for the grandkids have reduced my AA's to almost gone. I would move coffee up higher on the list though! How many of you have an old fashion percolator?

I actually just started making my on cigs. Figured I would start vacuum sealing them just in case. You know know what you will be able to barter with them.

A friend of mine, told me about using pipe tobacco instead of cigerete tobacco.

seems its the same thing, but costs less, due to tax's

I used to smoke a pipe and at times it was not easy to do so I purchased a quick roller and paper from my pipe shop and rolled my own. I admit I did get some funny looks when I pulled out a twisted end cigarette and lit up!

If you're concerned about tobacco, and have some space for a garden, grow your own. How to Grow Tobacco • Index page
The Tobacco Seed Company - The Online Seed Shop

As for the other items (which as noted are no longer at the link), I would say that you need to look at this situationally - filter this by where you live and what's available around you.
Funny you say that. I have 3 different types I will be planting this coming up year. The only problem I see is the curing. We will see how it goes.

My wife used to roll her own. She said one time she was at a bar in Oxford and she was rolling one and when she got done some guy asked her if he could have a hit. She gave it to him and said enjoy lol.

I was going to make cigars...so I grew my own tobacco. It's real easy to grow, but the worms will come from miles to eat it up. You got to pick the worms off daily...think they're the same as tomato worms. The curing is the questionable part. I could dry it good, but could not make it taste like it should. My brother grows some and mixes it in with bought tobacco. Then he rolls his own. I wish I knew how to make dip out of it, but that is secret stuff, I think.
Seeds available online and info is too.
