you know they did a special on the history channel and it was talking about your brain or something. any how the sound of a shotgun being chambered was the second or third most recognized sound out there.

I picked up some HD rounds for my shotgun a little while back and when I shot a few to test at the range I was really impressed. Its the Winchester Supreme Elite PDX1, 12. Its a 1oz slug with 3 00 buck pellets as followers. Left a nice big hole in the piece of wood I shot.

In a home full of FAMILY........... I suggest #6 shot in the shottie. Larger shot (ie: buckshot) can penetrate sheetrock walls too easy. Room sizes in homes are fairly small, so an 1.25oz load of #6 will "make a mess" of the perp.

Now if outside and greater distances....... Oh YEAH..... 00 BUCK.

Just my 2 bits.............

Guys I don't mean to be a know it all but OO loads of buckshot are overrated. The pellets are so big that there isn't room for many in the shotshell. IMHO a smaller buckshot load would be much better just because of it holding so many more pellets. I can't remember just what we were shooting, it may have been #1 buckshot but it had almost three times the pellets.
