Tip for the Ruger 10/22

Try shooting the 10/22 with the barrel band removed. I have found that in 90% of the Ruger 10/22 carbines I have tested, they shoot better with the barrel band removed.

Yup! Great tip, Doug. Don't forget about sanding out the barrel channel if needed so it free floats.

A lot of people remove the band and some even cut off the narrow tip of the stock so it doesn't look funky. I just can't bring myself to do it. It would be like cutting one of my children. Besides, it's already quite accurate as it is and I like the way it looks.
Hey jbpmidas,
Volquartzen hammer = instant trigger job

The difference is unbeliveable. You just have to try one to undersand how they transform the trigger into something wonderful instead of a 10lb nightmare.

Have you used one before, Doug, or do you do always do your own trigger job?
