Tip for the Ruger 10/22

Try shooting the 10/22 with the barrel band removed. I have found that in 90% of the Ruger 10/22 carbines I have tested, they shoot better with the barrel band removed.

I remove the trigger group and polish the hammer notch with an India Stone and an Arkansas Stone. Sometimes the angle of the hammer notch needs reshaped. Then I drill a hole in the trigger guard and tap the hole 6-48. I insert a screw and remove metal on the face of the screw until the trigger fires. Then check to see if the disconnector will cycle. If not remove more metal.
