Team Magnolia Multigun Club’s
August Shotgun Showdown
Sunday - August 20

This is a “shotgun” match, but pistols and PCC’s are welcome! The targets will be 90% steel and 10% paper, so you can shoot whatever you want. Shotguns are not required.

This will be super quick setup, reset, and tear down in the August heat.

We have a few spare shell caddies if you want to shoot shotgun and get your classification.

The squads are a maximum of nine shooters in each squad and there will be four squads. Only 2 people per squad are allowed to shoot twice. If the match fills up (unlikely) we will do one of two things: preference will be given to shotgun shooters and then pre-pay will be required.

Register here.

Divisions:
  1. Factory (shotgun)
  2. Practical (shotgun)
  3. Unlimited (shotgun)
  4. Heavy (shotgun)
  5. Pistol
  6. PCC
3Gun Nation divisional guidelines to help you decide on the appropriate division for your equipment.

  • Setup will be at 3pm Saturday. If you help you shoot for free.
    • Anything not finished will be built Saturday morning at 6
  • Registration closes at 830
  • Hammer down at 9

That's 11 minimum slugs so you need to get in the other thread and request Justin Chandler from Shooters Bullets to bring enough for you to make it through the match.

And only 31 birdshot so you will need at least two boxes of birdshot.

That's only a round count of 42 shots if you don't miss.

ANYBODY will let you borrow a shotgun if you want to shoot one. Just post up in here if you would like, and ask the person you want to shoot with what kinds of shells and slugs their shotgun likes.

We have some leftover shell caddies. They are Invictus Practical 2-8's. They retail for about $77 and I will have them for sale at the match for $60 if you would like to purchase in order to shoot the match since there are a couple of unloaded starts.

We will also be placing barrels in front of the shooting areas for loading quickly and easily and you are welcome to use those if the WSB doesn't stipulate reloads must come from belt.

Yes, the match would have been in Byram right by the swinging bridge at Magnolia Rifle and Pistol Club.

However, the range is undergoing some highly anticipated berm work over the next few weeks. This project will take up half of the range's pistol bays for the coming weeks, so with the interests of the general membership in mind, our competitions will be suspended until the range is back in fully operational condition.

If we had a match on the only few bays open, the general members would have nowhere to shoot, so we will have to take a little break for this match.

We hope this will only sit us out for August so we can be back shooting in September, but it is impossible to say at this time.
