Team Magnolia Multigun Club’s
February Multigun
(1, 2, or 3Gun, pistol/PCC only ok)
February 18, 2018
All of our matches are any gun you want to use. You can shoot the whole thing with a pistol if you want. The only time we will tell you what gun to use is if you are a 3GN member shooting a 3GN classifier and want your score turned in. Other than that, do what you want.

This match will consist of steel and paper targets. No slugs or buckshot required. No rifles on steel targets (only paper) so green tips are ok.

Divisions:
  1. Factory
  2. Practical
  3. Unlimited
  4. PCC
  5. Heavy
  6. Pistol Only
  7. Rimfire
See 3GN division guidelines for guidance

  • Everybody shoots for $20 unless you are there by 7 to help build stages, and then you will shoot for free.
  • We will also be building stages Saturday evening. If you help, you shoot for free.
  • Setup begins before 7
  • Registration begins at 8, closes at 830
  • Shooters’ meeting at 830
  • Hammer down at 9

How many paper targets will be in stage 4? Trying to get a round count together. These will be slug targets if using shotgun correct?
No.

Shotgun will only shoot the clays and the plates in the back. Not the paper on the wing berms.
Those paper targets are for people shooting pistol or PCC. They can't shoot clays at all. And nobody can shoot steel in front of the wing berm.

Those were put up as alternates when we took away the plates.

Here are the minimum max rounds. Yes, kind of an oxymoron. What I mean is that these numbers reflect the utmost utilization of the given weapon, but at the minimum round counts required for the stages per division.

Simply choose the division you want to shoot. Then look at the numbers. That easy.

If you are shooting PCC or rimfire, then you would choose pistol only, because you are shooting only one gun. If you wanted to shoot a 22 pistol and a 22 rifle, then duh, look at the 2Gun numbers.

If this confuses you, and I'm sure it will befuddle plenty of people, find the biggest number next to any gun you plan to bring, double that, and you'll be fine unless you really suck. If you do, then double that number and you *should* be fine.

Well, a few us ganged up and got the stages built. That means we are shooting no matter the weather. Bring boots or cleats depending on your soggy ground preference.

The match is full, so if you didn’t preregister, you can still show up, but we will be capping the match at 40 shooters. I expect the weather to scare some people so it’s safe to say that if you show up we should be able to work you in.

See y’all in the morning!

Shooters,

Results!

I had a good time today and I hope all of y'all did too.

We had 36 shooters if you count the double shooters, which I think was 3, so 33 different people. I was very pleased with everybody's help. If every match was like this it'd all run smooth as butter.

Like we said at the match, in March, Stephen Sandridge will be stepping up to be the MD for the match. It will be a carbine match, so he will definitely appreciate all the help and support y'all can give. Mainly a sense of urgency and a helping hand is all we ever need. If y'all show up like you did today I have no concerns it will be a very successful match.

Don't forget about Justin's project TMMG rifle. Like he said, the build is underway and we are eager to get it built. He will be doing a build step by step so any and everybody should be able to replicate his process.

I hope y'all have fun in March, and I should see y'all in April!

thanks!
Clayton
