Have you ever found a good deal on a gun that you didn't need, didn't really want but you hate not to buy it since it's a good deal. Happened to me again today but this time I didn't buy it. Now I'm having second thoughts about it. :thinking:

As usual I hit a couple of pawn shops today and spotted something in the rack that wasn't there last Friday. It was a Remington 870 Express Magnum with a 20" rifled slug barrel. It had a monto carlo stock on it and someone had painted the stock and forearm black. It also had a scope mounted on it. The scope is what caught my attention. It was a Nikon Prostaff 2x7x32. The price tag said $169.99. I had it in my hands to take it to the counter then put it back.

I hope it's still there in the morning. I've about talked myself into getting it.

Assuming the funds are freely available when you see a great deal, go for it. Too many times I've waited too long and then regretted not buying. I still kick myself for passing on a pristine used HK USP 45 for $500.

That's a pretty good deal, just looking around gunbroker the Remington 870 Express Magnum with a rifled barrel sell from $175 to $300 used with no scope. The Nikon shotgun scope $119 to $199 new, only one used one on gunbroker, it was $100.

If the shotgun and scope are in good shape,(you can always refinish the wood) and you like it and got the cash, I say go for it too.

if its a good deal, by all means buy it. you can use it for a trade up. thats what we have always done. keep trading up till you get what you want or like and go for the next one.

Somebody better call 911 and get 'Neck to the hospital. Something's seriously wrong. :lol: I've got four so far this year and this one will make five.

I always look, whether I've got the money or not. Most of them will hold one for you if you make a down payment. I had the money in my pocket yesterday and couldn't make up my mind. I've lost several good ones that way. :tears:
