Took my 70 yo mother to the range today, first time she has shot anything in 40 years. She loved it. Let her shoot the .380, 9mm and .45. Here's some pics.

Believe me I’m not trying to play ‘can-you-top-this, but you’ve got me in the mood to brag on my mom.

This is my mom, probably between ’66 & ’69, out from Casper WY where I was living. She was born in 1899, so you can do the math. She’d never done anything like this before in her life. She was really proud of that doe. Had the head mounted. I’ve still got it.

By the way, that’s a 7mm Rem Mag custom built (by E A Craven, Bend OR) rifle she’s using.

Cool! My mom was a country girl (born in 1922). She was a really good shot as a kid, and they thought of shooting as fun---no different than a trip to the swimming hole.

That range looks like the indoor range at Surplus City in Clinton. Is that where it is?

My Mom taught me to shoot and hunt as dad worked all the time. She was born in 22 also. She kept a 38 snub rev until some low life broke into her house while she was at church. She still shoots a 410 at snakes when she has too. Gotta love those moms who were born back then. They weren't afraid of much.
