I'm in the process of gathering pieces parts to do a custom 10/22 for possible F-Class
and would like to get other members ideas and suggestions on aftermarket triggers/trigger groups
such as the Timney, the Volquartsen, Power Custom, JARD, etc. I am planning on using an
extended magazine release from Tactical Solutions of the sort that goes down along the trigger
guard profile and I notice that most if not nearly all of the drop in trigger groups have an extended
release built in and I was wondering if those were replaceable with the TS style. :hi:

First post from an existing member who has largely been lurking until now and got the fever
for F-Class RF after being a spectator at last weeks match at MR&P.

Hello 45flattop. Welcome to the forum.
I'm working on my 10/22 also. Wish I could help you but I'm at the same stage that you are. I'm just going to keep researching and eventually end up with something that is more accurate than I am. I'm having as much fun researching and doing the work as I will shooting. Good luck!

Welcome

Yes the lever type extended magazine release can be purchased seperately and installed on any 10/22 trigger group.

It definatey adds the cool factor.

If not going to shoot thousands of rounds in your 10/22 might just consider a trigger job on your stock trigger group.

What you'll be getting is a better grade of metal in Timney, Volquartsen, Power Custom, JARD. Mainly the trigger, sear and hammer. Alot of $$$ if just going to shoot a match a month for the next 5 years or so.

Investing money in one of the top trigger groups will help.

That leaves the barrel and bolt still stock.

Oh me. When does it end?

Glad you joined in the discussion over lurking.

i will chime in here. First off just to let you know that if you have a polymer lower the Timney Trigger is a hit or miss on being reliable. I have one of these in mine and have been in contact with Timney over the past month and they confirmed that the problem with it is that it is extremely difficult to get their system to line up correctly. I have had experience with Volquartsen as well and really like the system. It feels great and pull is about 2.5 to 3 lbs. FYI Timney and Volquartsen have complete lower assemblies that include the extended mag release and are made out of aluminum. The Volquartsen has been out a while and is available, the Timney system is brand new and won't be out until next month.

Hay Guy's,
My first post on here, Hello all. A Jard trigger comes set at 1lbs and can get other springs to step up pull(from 1 to I think 4lbs) or another choice KIDD 2 stage trigger system that can go down to 2 onces but it will be around Mar to April when they will have them back in stock(told us the other day they can't keep up with demand). All the other triggers that was mentioned are good ones to. Maybe we can learn alot from each other on this sport. Rambo
