How do you shut down something that isn't working in the first place?

Question? Just WHO is threatening a govt. shutdown? Trump, or the do nothing sobs in congress? I don't think Trump is threatening anything, just intelligent enough to see the handwriting on the wall. Oh, and for the record, shut the sumbitch down today, let's save a ton of $money.

  6. Unfortunately, little money is saved, except maybe for electricity and gasoline.

When there is a shutdown, Congress will authorize back-pay for all of the "non-essential" employees who stayed home.

It's time to permanently close dozens of federal agencies that do nothing but get votes for the pandering administration that created them.

Isn't the Rural Electrification Bureau still in existence?

Yeah, who really needs things like the Military, FBI, border patrol, and air traffic controllers?

All of which will still be functioning during a govt shutdown...just like last time.

80-85% of the feds will run with or without an operating budget ...

Maybe the IRS can threaten that it won't process tax returns/issue "refunds" (tax overpayments, or EITC's, in "some" cases) because of the shutdown? EBT cards not loaded for Christmas?

If Republican "tax reform" doesn't kill us, then a government shutdown will!

OMG, we're all going to die!!! (hyperbole)

Well... three of those should be privatized. And the 4th could be greatly shrunk if we stopped being the world's police and worried about the interest of the people instead of that of politicians and global elite. But that's a completely different topic.

PS, if the FBI didn't exist, who would pay for all the strippers that steal their weapons?

And whoever collects and tracks the FET tax on every tire sold to cover the cost of developing synthetic rubber during WWII that is still bundled into the cost of every tire sold to this day (I wonder if they pay this in Puerto Rico?). So, just how close to having that sucker paid off are we? Musta cost more than the Manhattan Project by now.
