That's odd, last message I typed didn't post. Both magnolia and turcote are a trip for me, magnolia is closer though. Turcotes probably 25 miles from me, magnolia is about 14
Well if i was in clinton i'd just go to my cousin's house :)

But turcott is like 5 mins away and for like 15 bucks a year you can't beat it! :)

I was there fridat from 2 - 4 ....OMG soooooo hot. It was kinda frustrating with everyone shooting from the front half of the 3yard section. I mean yeah my target would look good at that range too..

Finally everyone left .. I was able to squeeze off another 30 rounds before I thought I was going to puke from heat..
Total rounds 96.

I spen this morning at the Surplus City indoor range in Clinton. I was the first customer. I lasted my one hour but even though I started at 9 am .. it seemed like the place had trapped all that pent up heat from the day before.
Total rounds 65

MAN it was HOT today to!!! Had planned to get out there early like 10 o'clock but my buddies wife wanted to go so by the time she got ready we made it there at like 1pm. It was sooo hot but i managed to get off 100 rounds or so in my pistols.... then it was off to the rifle area which was hot but atleast it was covered. Yeah when i got there they were shooting from the front line i was like yeah... i'm not gonna waste my bullets on that i'll just wait eventually we got to move back a bit and it was better.

By 11 my Kimber was so hot I had to cover it with a towel to let it cool down. I actually have 1st degree burns on my palm just from the grip. I wish they had some shade or moveable targets so we could shoot from the rear of the range and different distances.

Went to Turcote one Sunday way back. It was closed that day, but I parked at the locked gate and walked in. I saw the handgun range. It was a nice setup. Didn't see the rifle range or the Sporting Clays ranges.

I now have the "permit" required for Turcote (if not expired... have to check... :) ).

There is a Sporting Clays shoot scheduled at Turcote on August 22nd. It is $50 for a 50 round course for the Ducks Unlimited bunch I thick, but has some prizes that can be won. I might have to sign up for that shoot......................
