I didn't see anything in the rules about extended mags.
It may not be an issue when you are time limited to 1 round a minute, but if I start with a 30 rnd mag I wouldn't have to worry about it.

Also, do we need to bring our own target stand and cardboard?
Some of those in the pics looked a little bit "customized".

For now, if you can bring your own stand, that would be great. We don't have enough stands just yet and some people have supplied their own stands to help out.

As far as I know, extended mags are okay. I used a 30 round mag myself, but my rifle kept "stovepiping" so I would load them one at a time to cut down on the jams.

I saw that stove piping issue when I got a Butler Creek 25 rnd mag for my daughter-in-law's 10/22.

She was shooting the cheapest bulk ammo she could find at the time. I had her leave the rifle with me and I came back with some higher velosity ammo and it cycled much better.

I'm thinking that there is something about the mag that was causing drag on the mechanism so it needed more kick to cycle the rifle.

Mags are allowed. You don't have to single-feed. .
Very TRUE!! However, a word of caution when using high capacity mags ... read the rules carefully -- you only shoot 10 shots into each scoring target -- more than that and you will lose points ... ie, shoot 11 shots on 1 target and 9 on another - your highest score shot on the 1st target will the thrown out - you will be recorded a miss on target 2!! Could cost you dearly in points!!

Most that use magazines, load no more than 10 rounds - just a thought!!

Within the next month we will have standard targets available for the matches!! Just show up, bring your rifle and accessories and come shoot!!

That does make sense. I guess USPSA and ICORE have me stuck in speed shooter mode where I am trying to save every second I can find. Speed does not seem to be a much of an issue here.
HaHa I understand, I used to shoot IPSC. I think however you'll be able to resist the urge to speed shoot in this particular competition :welcome2:

I tried to load one at a time in my Savage the other day. You know - hold that little tiny bullet just right then line it up with that little tiny hole through the ejection port while trying to keep the gun in battery. That was REAL funny. 20 minutes would be plenty ....for two rounds then another 20 to find the other 18 I dropped in the grass.
:lol3:
