Hrdnox- Nobody in the other thread on Stephen's encounter with the cop said he should have handled it any different than he did, everyone was just trying to tell him and you the cop had no reason or right to take his gun, I would have handled it the same way and most would have. Because arguing with a cop on the side of the road is a bad idea, BUT we wouldn't have been happy about ,like he was and would have been at the Chief's office complaining about how his officer was wrong the next day.Hrdnox said:Maybe because you said you wouldn't let a cop hold your weapon during a traffic stop. You know, gun boards are known as radical hangouts, so the Feds may have an eye on you.
No idea, really. Never heard of such a thing. Do you suppose your gun shop buddies are yankin' your chain? Wouldn't put it past them.
Next question. If they come to your house to retreive the gun, are you gonna give it up? You do realize that when they do, no cash changes hands, right? If I didn't intend to let a cop hold my gun during a traffic stop, they'd get this one when they pried my cold dead hands off of it.
Hell, you're a cowboy, go for it Dude!!!!
Just joking around, of course. Or, are we?![]()
Were they both handguns? If so multiple handgun purchases in the same week throw a big red flag.teirst said:So I bought a gun on friday with no problem, but today I was told that I was "under review" and that the store would call me back in up to 30 days. Why would I be approved 1 day then under review 3 days later?
I'm a dealer, and all of the above are true. Also, if you have a common name, that can also cause a hold up. It'll all clear up within the three days.teirst said:called the ATF. They said there are several reasons that can cause a delay
1. systems are down (claimed they were at some point today)
2. busy (during busy times they do not to any instant "further reviews" anyone not automatically approved is delayed.) I have been told that I can not be automatically approved because of my clearance. Supposedly my record is "sealed" to the lower level people and the FBI must approve it.
3. conflicting information
I am assuming it is either one of, or a combination of the first two
That could certainly complicate things.teirst said:I don't have a common name, but I am a junior and my father is not eligible to own a firearm. guess that could be it.
What race was your customer if you do not mind me asking. That sounds like racial and wealth profiling :bull: what they are doing there.Beladran said:they will not openly say this but they have gone by credit score. a customer of mine every time he bought a gun he would be delayed and he even had a gun permit. he claimed racial discrimination and went to an attorny and thats what they told him.
Mine says MS. Firearms Permitteirst said:by a gun permit do you mean a ccw? never heard of a gun permit
