I've never used a bore guide in any of my rifles, so this post may be "too late" according to experts who state that more barrels are ruined by cleaning rods than by shooting..... So, is it too late, or should I be using a bore guide, and if so, which one? Need something to work in 223, 243, 7mm, 300wsm, 308...all bolt guns except 223 is an AR..... :thanks:

I just bought a tipton from basspro that will fit all cals plus it had an adapter for the ar. I like it.
Yep I've seen em
There's no way a "generic" one size fits all guide will keep a rod aligned as well as one made to fit your rifle by model, caliber and the brand and size of cleaning rod....I prefer Dewey

$2000 bolt rifle deserves a great bore guide IMHO....its not a place to skimp

To each his own...you get what you pay for
