The first Sunday Team Magnolia USPSA match in Byram is nearly here again, and this month it's going to be on the 4th. As John said in his mailing list email, what better way to kick off your 4th of July celebration than with a match? Cook outs and fire work festivities can wait until later in the day, right?

Per John, there will be no mid-week shooter’s meeting but if anyone has any stage design ideas, you are welcome (and encouraged) to send them in. It's going to be a four stage match so that it won't run too long in the heat. As of right now, highs are predicted to be in the 88-89 range, so maybe we will be lucky and it won't be as bad as recent weather has been. Setup starts at 7 sharp so that we can get to the shooting, so please consider getting their early to help set up if you can.

There are also a few new ideas for the match:

1. John has asked for (and gotten) 4 volunteers to bring water for each of the stages.

2. Also, if you are fairly certain you are going to make the match (and this can be done up until 9:00pm Saturday night), anyone that wants to can "pre-register" for the match at http://www.teammagnolia.com/registration.php. If you take advantage of this, you'll only need to stop by to pay and get your score sheets before the match. I think it is a great idea to speed up registration and help John out on match mornings.

See y'all on the range,
Bryant

Not exactly ready yet (ammo isn't loaded, etc), but I will be ready by Saturday night. It's been a long week, and a trip up and back to West Virginia yesterday didn't help anything.

I'd drive up and practice with y'all on Saturday, but we have family coming in for a cookout and fireworks (yeah, we are celebrating the "4th" on the 3rd. LOL.) See y'all Sunday though.

Looks like 13 folks have pre-registered so far, but I know several others that are planning on being there and just haven't done it yet. http://www.teammagnolia.com/registration.php

Magnolia USPSA is first rate!

This has got to be some of the best facility for shooting in the country. I mean you got shaded benches, cold water, nice challenging stages, friendly ROs, friendly shooters, a good lunch and ICE CREAM to boot! Only thing missing is the pretty cart girl you see on really nice golf courses but this ain't golf. I learn something everytime there and it's from the good ole shooters who don't mind sharing. You even get to register online! Heck other clubs cancel matches and don't even tell you till you show up with no one there. Nice job, very nice job John, Richard, Bud, Tom, Cliff, Tommy, Shane, Scott and all the great folks in Byram. I look forward to the next match!
